Faceted Search
Faceted Search is a way to help people find information by letting them pick from different groups or categories, like color, size, or price, all at the same time. In Data Design, faceted search helps organize large sets of information by breaking them into smaller, easy-to-understand pieces. Designers use it to make sure users can quickly find what they want, even when there is a lot of data. Faceted search works well when data is labeled with clear tags or properties, making it easier to filter and sort. In many projects, designers use faceted search to help people explore data without needing to know special search terms. This method is very helpful for visualizing data, because it turns complex information into simple choices.
