Extreme Users
Extreme users, within the context of design, are users whose needs and expectations are outside the normal range of typical users. They have extreme demands on the design of a product, expecting something beyond its purpose and capabilities, with their own set of requirements. Extreme users have an increased level of knowledge and experience in the field they are using the product, and they may have an ability to recognize and take full advantage of the features and functions of the product. Designers must take into account the needs and desires of these users when designing a product, even if it is outside the realm of what is normal for most users.
