Extension Fusion Banquet Hall
Extension fusion Banquet Hall is an innovative architectural interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of vertical and horizontal lines throughout a multi-story commercial space. Completed in February 2016 in Pingtung County Donggang, this 617-square-meter establishment represents a sophisticated approach to spatial design through its distinctive use of linear elements and lighting. The design concept draws inspiration from culinary precision, with regularly arranged lines reminiscent of a chef's methodical food preparation techniques. The space features a remarkable 3-D frame construction with precisely bent regular lines, suspended from the ceiling using specially-designed components that ensure structural integrity while maintaining visual continuity. A notable achievement of this project is its successful connection of multiple floors (from first to fifth) through the concept of Extension Lines, creating a cohesive visual narrative throughout the venue. The design incorporates a sophisticated grid pattern that addresses both aesthetic and functional considerations, effectively managing acoustic challenges while creating dynamic visual transparency. The interplay between vertical and horizontal elements generates a compelling mixture of Ying and Yang principles, particularly evident through the round screen openings that filter layered, indistinct light. This innovative approach to commercial space design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and functional design integration. The project demonstrates exceptional expertise in combining traditional Eastern philosophical elements with contemporary design principles, creating an atmosphere that seamlessly weaves together functionality and aesthetic appeal.
