Exen Istanbul Show Flat

Exen Istanbul Show Flat

Exen Istanbul Show Flat is an exemplary residential interior design project located on the top floor of a prominent skyscraper in Istanbul, Turkey, showcasing innovative spatial planning and contemporary design aesthetics. This 180-square-meter apartment, featuring a generous 65-square-meter living space, demonstrates masterful integration of natural light and transparency while maintaining functional practicality. The design philosophy centers on creating seamless transitions between spaces, with integrated sitting and dining areas subtly delineated through thoughtful material variations in flooring. The color palette employs sophisticated neutrals including gray, brown, and white as base tones, complemented by strategic accent colors in individual rooms to define their distinct purposes. Notable design challenges, including the incorporation of large structural columns, concrete walls, and mechanical shafts, were elegantly resolved through meticulous planning and innovative solutions. A particularly distinctive feature is the en-suite bathroom, characterized by its curvilinear glass walls, which required precise attention to production details. The project, completed in late 2013, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design, material selection, and functional innovation. The design successfully balances contemporary aesthetics with practical functionality, creating an environment that serves both as a showcase property and a comfortable living space, while demonstrating exceptional attention to environmental considerations through the careful selection of sustainable materials and design elements.
