Euphoria Resort Hotel

Euphoria Resort Hotel

Euphoria Resort Hotel is a distinguished architectural masterpiece situated in Kolymvari, Greece, exemplifying contemporary resort design while honoring local architectural heritage. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning hospitality complex, completed in 2018, encompasses 65,000 square meters of thoughtfully designed space, featuring 290 rooms across eight strategically positioned buildings that maximize views of both the sea and mountains. The architectural concept draws inspiration from the Venetian influence prevalent in Chania, incorporating traditional elements such as characteristic domes and triangular facade endings reminiscent of historic dockyards, reimagined through a modern lens. The resort's design philosophy centers on the Greek concept of euphoria (happiness), manifested through its harmonious integration with the natural landscape, including 5,000 square meters of water features that create a visual continuity with the Mediterranean Sea. The complex demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness through its implementation of renewable energy systems, including geothermal air conditioning, photovoltaic fields generating 220kW of electricity, and comprehensive thermal insulation, earning it an A-plus energy classification. The architectural composition balances sophisticated contemporary design with functional efficiency, featuring four restaurants, a lounge bar, pool bar, indoor heated pool, spa center, gym, waterpark, and shopping areas, while select accommodations offer private pools and gardens. The resort's construction utilized reinforced concrete with pitched roofs, metal-structured domes, and a combination of plaster and stone facades, incorporating heat-insulating panels and low-e glazing throughout to ensure optimal energy efficiency while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
