Ethical AI Design
Ethical AI Design is the practice of making sure artificial intelligence systems work in ways that match human values and do not cause harm. In technology ethics, designers often use clear checklists to guide decisions, like making sure AI does not copy or spread unfair ideas from its training data. Designers can use simple visual tools, such as flowcharts, to map out where decisions might affect people's lives, helping them spot risks early. One practical step is to use data sheets for every set of data used in AI, which explain where the data comes from and what it might miss, making it easier for designers to understand possible problems before they happen.
