Epitome Diet Clinic
Epitome Diet Clinic is an innovative healthcare facility design that reimagines the traditional clinical environment through a sophisticated architectural approach, completed in 2022 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. This specialized VIP clinic, designed by Yi-Hsiang Cheng of Why interior design studio, represents a significant departure from conventional medical space design, particularly focusing on serving clients with weight management needs. The 200-square-meter facility transforms a traditional townhouse layout, overcoming spatial constraints through thoughtful material selection and innovative space planning. The design philosophy emphasizes a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, utilizing beige-gray mineral paint, dark orange glass, and black stainless steel to create visual depth and spatial expansion. The layout incorporates wider-than-standard aisles and curved wall corners to accommodate user comfort, while the central core circulation plan enhances spatial transparency and flow. The facility encompasses multiple specialized zones, including consulting rooms, a weight reduction clinic cooking teaching area, gym, and meeting spaces, all designed to support a holistic approach to health and wellness. The project, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in transforming a narrow, dusky townhouse into a luminous, welcoming healthcare environment that promotes healthy living through its architectural elements and spatial organization. The design's success lies in its ability to maintain a sense of spaciousness while incorporating various functional areas, creating an atmosphere that combines professional medical services with luxury and comfort through careful material selection and lighting design.
