Enjoy Life Residence

Enjoy Life Residence

Enjoy Life Residence is an award-winning four-story residential interior design project that masterfully blends industrial aesthetics with contemporary living requirements, completed in 2018 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The 212-square-meter residence, designed by Hsin Hui Chang and Liang Chun Kuo, exemplifies a sophisticated integration of raw industrial elements with functional domestic spaces, featuring innovative solutions for storage and spatial flow. The design's distinctive character emerges from its thoughtful incorporation of industrial materials including iron pieces, off-form concrete, glass, veneer, and cement finishes, creating a harmonious balance between aesthetic appeal and practical functionality. The ground floor encompasses an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen, connected through a flexible layout utilizing sliding and folding doors that enable seamless transformation between open and private spaces. The upper levels are strategically organized with the master bedroom and changing room on the first floor, children's rooms on the second floor, and recreational spaces including a gym and chess room on the third floor. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to detail in its material selection and spatial planning. Notable features include raw cement textured walls complemented by metal elements, wood accents, stone countertops, distressed wallpaper, and leather furniture, creating rich visual layering throughout the space. The design successfully addresses the specific needs of its occupants, incorporating display areas for collectibles while maintaining a comfortable, free-flowing family environment that demonstrates how industrial design elements can be effectively adapted for residential use.
