Enash French Restaurant is an innovative interior design project completed in Osaka, Japan, that reimagines the traditional French dining experience through a bold architectural concept. Designed by Shunsuke Ohe, this extraordinary culinary space spans two floors totaling 104.3 square meters and creates a dramatic contrast between its levels, with the first floor featuring a serene waiting area adorned in subtle greige and champagne gold tones, while the second floor transforms into an otherworldly purple-hued dining sanctuary. The restaurant's most distinctive architectural element consists of seven seamlessly connected purple peels that unite the ceiling and walls, creating an immersive, dimension-bending atmosphere. The intimate dining space accommodates only ten seats, positioned at a symbolically shaped natural marble counter that faces an open kitchen, allowing diners to observe the culinary artistry firsthand. The design incorporates sophisticated lighting elements, including thin slit lights nestled between overlapping skin-like surfaces and precisely positioned pin spotlights above each dining position. Living moss artwork adorns the walls, harmoniously complementing the purple theme while adding a natural element to the space. Completed between August and December 2022, this exceptional design earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its innovative approach to spatial design and its response to contemporary dining needs in a post-pandemic world.
