Elliptical Dome
An elliptical dome is a type of dome used in architecture and design which is characterized by its curved, ovoid shape. Its most notable feature is that the curvature of the dome is determined by two concentric circles, which are ellipses that intersect at their two foci points. This creates a smooth, continuous surface that is inherently resistant to structural stress and buckling. In addition to its structural advantages, an elliptical dome is visually stunning and can be used to evoke a sense of grandeur in a space. Elliptical Dome

This type of dome is commonly employed in architecture for both its structural and aesthetic qualities. Elliptical domes are usually constructed with reinforced concrete that is reinforced with steel beams and cables, and is often used as a form of vaulting in order to create additional space within the structure. The curvature of the dome can be altered to suit the desired aesthetic, and is often decorated with various moldings, columns, and other architectural features.
