Elegant Flower Vase Decorative Stand

Elegant Flower Vase Decorative Stand

Elegant Flower Vase Decorative Stand is an innovative furniture design piece that exemplifies the intersection of minimalist aesthetics and functional artistry, created by Israeli designer Ilana Seleznev through her systematic Math Of Design methodology. This sophisticated decorative element features a distinctive composition of a wooden stem structure complemented by customizable colorful coating options, embodying both natural and geometric design principles. The stand, which garnered recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a fresh interpretation of traditional flower display, incorporating clean lines and modern sensibilities while maintaining practical functionality. Standing at 20 centimeters in height with a 7-centimeter reduction, this versatile piece can accommodate single blooms or multiple flower arrangements, making it suitable for various interior settings. The design's innovative approach lies in its adaptability to different materials and production methods, including both traditional woodworking and contemporary 3D printing technologies, allowing for customization in colors, materials, and manufacturing processes. Developed between January 2017 and January 2018, the stand addresses the challenge of creating affordable, locally-produced wooden furniture in Israel while maintaining high design standards. The piece's interaction design philosophy emphasizes both its decorative presence as an abstract sculptural element and its practical function as a water-holding vessel for fresh flowers, requiring minimal yet mindful daily maintenance. This design exemplifies how systematic thinking methodologies can be applied to create products that balance aesthetic appeal with practical considerations, resulting in a piece that enhances modern living spaces through its thoughtful combination of form and function.
