Electroluminescent Panel
Electroluminescent panels in lighting design can be cut into almost any shape without losing their ability to glow, which gives designers a lot of creative freedom for custom installations. These panels are very thin and flexible, so they can fit onto curved surfaces or be layered behind translucent materials to create glowing effects. The light from electroluminescent panels is very even, which means there are no bright or dark spots, making them useful for backlighting graphics or signs. They use very little energy and do not get hot, so they work well in places where heat could be a problem, like inside display cases or close to delicate materials. Designers can control the color and brightness by changing the electric current, which allows for dynamic lighting effects in interactive spaces.
