Electrical System

Electricity is a fundamental part of modern life and is used in a wide range of applications. An electrical system is a collection of components that are connected together to enable the transfer of electrical energy from a source to a point of use. Electrical systems are used in a variety of applications, ranging from industrial and domestic to recreational and medical. They are used to provide power to buildings, homes, factories, and other structures. Electrical systems may be powered by either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) energy sources and require the use of specialized components, such as transformers, switches, fuses, and relays, to effectively transfer and convert electrical energy from the power source to the point of use. Electrical system components can be connected together in series or in parallel to enable the transfer of electrical energy from one point to another. Electrical systems also require the use of safety devices, such as circuit breakers, to protect them from overloading and potential damage.
