Ekhtiyarieh Tower Commercial-Residential

Ekhtiyarieh Tower Commercial-Residential

Ekhtiyarieh Tower Commercial-Residential is an innovative architectural complex located in Tehran's Ekhtiyarieh neighborhood, embodying a sophisticated approach to mixed-use development through its distinctive triangular design composition. The structure, spanning 110,000 square meters, emerged from a careful consideration of site geometry, where the primary mass was subdivided into three smaller triangular towers, creating a harmonious balance between form and function. This architectural solution not only reduces the visual impact of the building's mass but also facilitates natural lighting and ventilation through strategically positioned central open spaces. The complex integrates multiple amenities, including a cinema, theater, meeting hall, and food court on the second floor, addressing the diverse needs of both residents and visitors in this densely populated urban area. Employing a curtain-wall system as its primary facade treatment, the design achieves a lightweight visual aesthetic while maintaining functional efficiency. The project, which commenced design in May 2013, represents a thoughtful response to urban density challenges, incorporating extensive research on the impact of commercial developments in residential areas. The design's merit was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial organization, environmental consciousness, and community integration. The complex's sophisticated integration of public and private spaces, coupled with its attention to environmental factors such as natural light and air circulation, establishes it as a significant contribution to contemporary urban architecture.
