Eiju Office

Eiju Office is an innovative dual-themed workspace located in Osaka, Japan, designed by Shunsuke Ohe and completed in 2023, exemplifying a harmonious blend of biophilic and maritime design elements across two distinct floors. The main floor embodies a Fusion with Nature concept, featuring 24 striking arched monuments resembling trees at the entrance, creating a dramatic transitional space that seamlessly connects the exterior with the interior environment. This level incorporates abundant plant life and wooden materials throughout its 148.8 square meters, offering diverse working environments including high counter seating, window-adjacent tables, and personal booths beneath a distinctive circular ceiling structure. The second floor, spanning 38.9 square meters, presents a contrasting nautical theme inspired by ocean-going vessels, characterized by a sophisticated blue and white color scheme and innovative louver panels that create dynamic lighting effects mimicking natural sunlight filtering through ship windows. The office's thoughtful design encompasses both private and collaborative spaces, including soundproofed meeting rooms and open-plan areas with glass walls, while maintaining operational efficiency through rational space planning. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, demonstrates exceptional material integration utilizing cloth, paint, glass, carpet, and PVC tile to create distinct atmospheric experiences. This sophisticated workplace design successfully balances aesthetic innovation with practical functionality, incorporating elements such as a relaxation area with bar counter and window-facing sofas, exemplifying contemporary workplace design that prioritizes employee wellbeing and versatility.
