EcoZip Rollercoaster Zip Line
EcoZip Rollercoaster zip line is an innovative recreational infrastructure design that revolutionizes the traditional concept of zip lines by incorporating rollercoaster-like elements, creating a unique hybrid adventure experience. This sophisticated system, designed by Frederic Galimard and recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design category, features a distinctive dual-pipe track system that enables riders to experience thrilling twists, turns, and loops while suspended in the air. The design's technical ingenuity lies in its specialized track comprising two circular steel pipes, carefully engineered to provide optimal strength while maintaining minimal environmental impact. The system can extend beyond one kilometer in length and incorporates a custom-designed safety mechanism with a specialized pulley featuring three sets of four wheels, ensuring secure navigation through various angles and curves. Notable for its ecological consciousness, the installation can be integrated into existing forest environments using either trees or poles as support structures, requiring no significant environmental alterations. The design's inclusivity is demonstrated through its accessibility to wheelchair users and people of all ages, while its sophisticated braking system and carefully calculated g-forces ensure both safety and excitement. This innovative approach to aerial adventure recreation, which earned recognition at the A' Design Award & Competition, represents a significant advancement in eco-friendly recreational facility design, combining the thrill of traditional zip lines with the dynamic experience of rollercoaster movements.
