Ear Focus

Ear Focus is a popular image composition technique used in anime, comics or manga, in which the artist focuses on a specific body part of a character, typically a face. The artist will draw the face of a character to the side and zoom in on an ear so that it takes up most of the space in the panel or image. This technique is used to draw the viewer's attention to the character's emotion, often to emphasize sadness or guilt. Additionally, this technique gives the character a more expressive look, as the ear can be drawn to be more expressive than the eyes.
