During The Strolling Interior Design
During the Strolling Interior design is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements with contemporary living spaces. This sophisticated 140-square-meter residence, completed in 2017 in Qingdao, China, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and material selection to create a tranquil urban sanctuary. The design's primary innovation lies in its thoughtful response to the challenges of urban living, featuring expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that maximize natural light and capture panoramic views, effectively dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior spaces. Natural materials, including Milkyway gray marble, solid oak, and cotton textiles, are meticulously incorporated to establish a calming atmosphere while addressing practical concerns such as coastal humidity through integrated dehumidification systems. The layout encompasses three bedrooms, two living spaces, two bathrooms, and a kitchen, with an innovative open glass partition design that maintains spatial fluidity while preserving functional distinctions. A notable feature is the concealed projector screen above the marble wall, which transforms the living area into an audiovisual entertainment space while maintaining aesthetic integrity when not in use. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully creates an elegant private retreat that responds to the needs of urban professionals seeking respite from city life, demonstrating excellence in both functional design and aesthetic refinement.
