Dunyue Office is an innovative interior design project completed in Taipei, Taiwan in 2017, exemplifying contemporary workplace design principles through its sophisticated integration of space, light, and functionality. The project, designed by Kai Jen Xiao, represents a significant advancement in flexible office design, featuring a distinctive approach that transforms from a subtle street presence during daylight hours to an illuminated glass lightbox at night. The design philosophy centers on creating independent working spaces while maintaining an open, collaborative environment through a thoughtfully implemented square-shaped pattern. The interior space utilizes polished black floor tiles and metallic elements to create a refined aesthetic, while the lighting system combines large hanging devices for uniform illumination with adjustable projection lamps that provide three-dimensional depth. The office layout promotes spontaneous interaction and knowledge sharing, addressing the contemporary need for work-life integration and enhanced employee engagement. Notable features include carefully considered natural lighting management through strategic curtain placement, adaptable storage solutions, and multifunctional spaces that support various work modes.
