Dual Concepts Workspace Environment is an innovative architectural and interior design solution that seamlessly integrates professional workspace with residential living, exemplifying the growing trend of hybrid living-working environments. Created by designer Cheng-Hsuan Huang, this 96-square-meter space transformation project demonstrates a sophisticated approach to adaptive reuse of a 60-year-old building, harmoniously blending traditional architectural elements with contemporary design features. The environment incorporates thoughtful material selections including pine plywood surfaces, polished concrete flooring, and traditional red brick elements, while modern touches such as white square tiles, powder-coated metal window frames, and perforated metal wall treatments create a balanced aesthetic dialogue between past and present. The design successfully addresses the challenges of modernizing a historical structure while maintaining its character, featuring expanded windows for enhanced natural lighting, exposed ceiling beams that preserve architectural authenticity, and a carefully planned layout that includes a reception area, office space, storage facilities, master bedroom, locker room, two bathrooms, and a kitchen.
