Dream Table Lamp

Dream Table Lamp

Dream Table Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that challenges conventional perceptions of concrete as a material through its unique design approach, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category. This distinctive table lamp represents a remarkable fusion of contrasting elements, featuring a concrete structure meticulously crafted to resemble a soft, inviting pillow that cradles a handcrafted Venetian blown glass globe. The design deliberately creates an oxymoron by transforming concrete, traditionally associated with rigidity and coldness, into a form that appears plush and welcoming. Through innovative molding techniques and the use of specialized fine-grained concrete, the lamp achieves a seamless, bubble-free surface texture that maintains a uniform appearance while measuring 24 x 24 x 14 centimeters and weighing 3.5 kilograms. The illumination source, a dimmable G9 bulb operating at 220V, is housed within the blown glass globe, creating a cocoon-like ambient atmosphere that effectively balances the interplay between light and shadow. This design emerged from extensive research into concrete molding techniques and lighting solutions, specifically aimed at creating an ambient lighting fixture that could transform the perception of concrete from cold and industrial to warm and inviting. The development process, which spanned six months, resulted in a product that successfully merges technical innovation with aesthetic sophistication, demonstrating how traditional materials can be reimagined to create contemporary design solutions that enhance interior environments.
