Draughtsman’s Tables

Draughtsman’s tables, also known as drafting tables, are specialized workstations designed for architects, engineers, and graphic designers to create and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and other precision illustrations. These tables are typically large, sturdy, and adjustable, allowing the user to work comfortably and efficiently for extended periods of time. The surface of the table is usually made of smooth, hard material such as wood, metal, or plastic, and is tilted at an angle to reduce glare and provide a better view of the work. Draughtsman’s tables come in a variety of sizes and styles, ranging from small, portable models to large, stationary units with built-in storage and lighting. Some tables are equipped with rulers, protractors, and other measuring tools, while others have built-in parallel bars that allow the user to draw straight lines with ease. Many tables also feature adjustable legs or height settings, which can be customized to suit the user’s preferred working position. In addition to their practical applications, draughtsman’s tables are also valued for their aesthetic appeal. Many designers and architects choose to incorporate these tables into their workspaces as a statement piece, as they are often beautifully crafted and designed to last for many years.
