Dr. Strudell Beer is an innovative packaging design concept created by designers Yaroslav Dekhnik and Alexey Seoev, featuring a distinctive collection of soft drinks with various flavors targeted at young consumers. The design, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2018, centers around the character of an eccentric professor who specializes in low-alcohol beverages, portrayed through detailed illustrations that capture him in the midst of mixing and experimenting with unique drink formulations. The visual identity draws inspiration from the Alpine setting, incorporating elements that suggest pristine lakes, snowy peaks, and verdant meadows, while embracing a steampunk aesthetic through hand-crafted typography and vintage-inspired illustrative elements. The packaging design showcases meticulous attention to detail, featuring a sophisticated labeling system where each flavor variant is distinguished by a unique index number, icon, and color code, all unified by the professor's golden signature that serves as a seal of quality. The label dimensions of 270 mm x 119 mm are carefully optimized for plastic bottle application, while the overall design philosophy emphasizes the combination of seemingly incompatible ingredients, reflecting the brand's commitment to innovation and unconventional flavor profiles.
