Double Cove Private Residence

Double Cove Private Residence

Double Cove Private Residence is an exemplary interior design project that masterfully transforms a 1,379-square-foot seaside apartment into a sophisticated weekend retreat for a multi-generational family. Located in Wu Kai Ha, Hong Kong, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning residential space showcases an innovative approach to flexible living arrangements through its unique first come, first served room allocation system, reminiscent of luxury hotel experiences. The interior architecture demonstrates exceptional spatial planning, featuring a harmonious blend of communal and private spaces that cater to various family activities. The design's aesthetic is characterized by a refined color palette of beige and light grey, elevated by strategic gold accents achieved through bronze steel trimmings and statement lighting fixtures. The residence's sophisticated material selection includes grey marble and wooden floors, complemented by textured wall coverings that create a balanced interplay between warm and cool tones. Notable design elements include floor-to-ceiling screen partitions, carefully curated artwork featuring sea wave motifs that echo the natural surroundings, and thoughtfully designed zones for different activities, including a dedicated Mahjong recreation area. The layout maximizes the apartment's seaside location, offering panoramic ocean views and incorporating far-reaching greenery vistas that establish a serene escape from urban life. The central shared space serves as the heart of the residence, comprising an integrated sitting area, living space, dining area, semi-open kitchen, and balcony, all designed to facilitate family gatherings and social interactions while maintaining a sense of sophistication and comfort.
