Dorina Nowill Annual Report

Dorina Nowill Annual Report

Dorina Nowill Annual Report is an innovative and inclusive print publication that exemplifies the integration of tactile and visual design elements to create a meaningful communication tool. This meticulously crafted annual report, designed by Ruis Vargas and team, represents a groundbreaking approach to accessible design, incorporating Braille writing elements throughout its pages to create a dual-purpose document that serves both sighted and visually impaired readers. The publication features a sophisticated production methodology, utilizing a 640 x 280 mm cover format with dry relief printing that enables tactile interaction, while the 120-page core content is printed on 150 g/m² offset paper using CMYK color processing. The design's distinctive feature lies in its strategic use of Braille dots as both functional and aesthetic elements, creating textures and visual patterns that enhance the overall graphic identity while maintaining their practical purpose. This thoughtful integration of form and function earned the publication a Silver A' Design Award in the Print and Published Media Design category, recognizing its contribution to inclusive design practices. The report's innovative approach extends beyond mere aesthetic considerations, incorporating careful material selection and printing techniques that ensure optimal tactile feedback while maintaining visual clarity. The project, completed in São Paulo, Brazil, between February and May 2019, demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of accessibility needs while maintaining high standards of professional documentation and corporate communication.
