Dodoshine Brand Design is a sophisticated visual identity system created for a home appliance brand specializing in UV sterilization technology, developed by Chinese designers Xu Chen and Rong Zhang. The design concept ingeniously draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese practice of using sunlight for natural sterilization, effectively bridging cultural habits with modern technology. The logotype's distinctive design combines bold sans-serif typography with carefully integrated serif elements, a design choice that deliberately positions the brand at the intersection of technological functionality and contemporary fashion aesthetics. Created between April 2019 and March 2020 in Beijing, the design successfully addresses the challenge of market positioning through its thoughtful visual elements and cultural resonance. The minimal logo, which can be reproduced at sizes as small as 34mm x 10mm, demonstrates exceptional versatility across various applications and marketing materials. The design's effectiveness in communicating both technological sophistication and lifestyle aspirations was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to visual brand communication. The project, developed by a comprehensive team including creative director Xu Chen and art director TianShu Liu, represents a significant achievement in translating cultural practices and technological advancement into a cohesive brand identity that resonates with contemporary consumers while maintaining functional clarity and aesthetic appeal.
