Disappeared Manufacturing Sales Centre

Disappeared Manufacturing Sales Centre is an innovative architectural project that reimagines traditional Taiwanese housing elements through contemporary design and construction methods, serving as a multifunctional commercial and cultural space. Located in the historically significant Banqiao District of New Taipei City, this 1,470.96-square-meter structure masterfully integrates traditional architectural vocabulary with modern materials such as steel, glass, and aluminum-clad panels. The design features a central courtyard inspired by the traditional Cheng concept, surrounded by versatile spaces that accommodate various functions including exhibitions, workshops, and commercial activities. The building's distinctive characteristics include overlapping eaves roofs, traditional Chinese window grilles reinterpreted through modern fabrication techniques, and a mezzanine platform that enables simultaneous events across different levels. The structure's architectural language pays homage to Taiwan's cultural heritage while incorporating contemporary elements, creating a dialogue between historical and modern design sensibilities. The project, which was completed in April 2021, earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and cultural preservation. The building's integration of real estate showroom functions with cultural activities and recreational spaces demonstrates a sophisticated approach to commercial architecture that successfully bridges traditional aesthetics with modern functionality, while its transparent glass curtain walls create a seamless connection between interior spaces and the urban environment.
