Dim Light Residential Space
Dim Light Residential Space is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in Taiwan in 2020, exemplifying sophisticated contemporary living through thoughtful spatial arrangement and material selection. The 330-square-meter space showcases a harmonious blend of titanium-plated panels, stone materials, and KD veneer panels, creating an atmosphere that balances conservative elegance with modern sophistication. Distinguished by its innovative approach to traditional residential layout, the design incorporates diverse elements and materials to establish seamless connections between different spatial areas, while large marble surfaces serve as primary visual focal points. The project features a curved ceiling cornice above public spaces, contributing to an elevated emotional ambience, while a cleverly concealed door panel system enables flexible space utilization between the study and dining areas. Designer Wen-Ching Wu's vision emphasizes the fusion of human artistry with material civilization, creating an environment that encourages infinite spatial exploration while maintaining a dignified, conservative visual presence. The design's exceptional merit was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, acknowledging its innovative use of space, material excellence, and sophisticated aesthetic approach. The project successfully challenges conventional cabinet and layout arrangements, delivering a fresh interpretation of residential design that prioritizes both functionality and aesthetic refinement, while maintaining a careful balance between exquisite detailing and understated elegance.
