Dharmawangsa Residence Residential Villa
Dharmawangsa Residence Residential Villa is an innovative residential architectural masterpiece located in Jakarta, Indonesia, that exemplifies sophisticated design solutions for tropical climate challenges. Completed in 2016, this distinguished residence demonstrates exceptional architectural ingenuity through its elevated floor plate design, which effectively addresses Jakarta's flood-prone conditions. The villa's design philosophy centers on creating harmonious living spaces that respond intelligently to environmental factors while maintaining aesthetic excellence. A comprehensive year-long study of solar patterns informed the strategic placement of overhangs and communal areas, resulting in naturally cooled spaces and optimal shade coverage for the swimming pool and outdoor areas. The structure incorporates advanced cross-ventilation systems through carefully positioned air pockets and corridors, effectively managing Southeast Asia's humid conditions. The interior spatial arrangement features an intricate interplay of varying floor levels, establishing a subtle hierarchy while creating distinct experiential zones throughout the residence. Notable architectural elements include cavalier overhangs, expansive glass panels, and meticulously selected marble finishes, all contributing to the villa's luxurious aesthetic. The design successfully balances privacy considerations with seamless indoor-outdoor integration, incorporating strategic landscaping elements that bring natural elements into private spaces. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category represents a remarkable achievement in residential architecture, particularly in its innovative approach to climate-responsive design and spatial optimization. The villa's design excellence is evident in its thoughtful resolution of complex environmental challenges while maintaining sophisticated aesthetic standards and functional efficiency.
