Design Of Electrically Heated Diffusion Furnaces
An electrically heated diffusion furnace is a type of furnace designed for the diffusion of impurities within a solid material. This type of furnace is commonly used in the semiconductor industry for the production of advanced electronics components. The furnace operates by applying heat to a reaction chamber that contains a gas mixture of the materials that are to be heated and then diffused into the material being processed. The heat causes the gas to react and the impurities in the gas to diffuse into the solid material. To design a good electrically heated diffusion furnace, there are several criteria that need to be considered. First is the type and accuracy of temperature control that the furnace provides. The temperature must be precisely controlled to ensure the desired diffusion rate is achieved. Second, the furnace must have a high-efficiency heating system to ensure rapid heating and uniform heating throughout the reaction chamber. Third, the furnace must be constructed with materials that can withstand high temperatures and reactive gas environments. Fourth, the furnace must have a carefully designed gas control and delivery system that can accurately and precisely control the gas mixture and flow rate. Finally, the furnace should have a reliable and efficient cooling system to prevent overheating of the reaction chamber and other components. An example of an electrically heated diffusion furnace that meets these criteria is the Tystar diffusion furnace. This furnace features a proprietary heating system that provides rapid and uniform heating, a precise temperature control system, high-temperature resistant materials, and an accurate gas control and delivery system.
