Low Leakage Current: A good diode should have a low leakage current, meaning that there should be minimal current flow in the reverse direction when the diode is supposed to be blocking. 5. Low Junction Capacitance: A good diode should have a low junction capacitance, meaning that it should not store a significant charge when it is switched from one mode to another, thus avoiding unnecessary power loss. By considering these design criteria, a designer can create a diode that is efficient, reliable, and effective for its intended purpose.
