Design Of Cisterns For Water Closets

Design Of Cisterns For Water Closets

A cistern is a device that's attached to a water closet or toilet to store water for flushing purposes. The design of cisterns has evolved over time, from the traditional high-level cisterns that were installed high above the toilet to modern low-level cisterns that are mounted directly on top of the toilet pan. In recent times, cistern designs have become more eco-friendly with the introduction of low-volume flush systems that conserve water while still providing an adequate flush. The design of a good cistern for water closets should be such that it ensures efficient use of water while maintaining an appropriate level of flushing power. The cistern should be made from materials that are durable and easily maintainable, to reduce the risk of leaks or blockages. The internal workings of the cistern should also be designed with attention to detail, to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of water. A good cistern design should also be easy to install, with clear instructions and simple components. Aesthetics should not be overlooked, as the appearance of the cistern can impact the overall look of the toilet. In summary, a good cistern design should: - Be efficient in water usage - Have an appropriate level of flushing power - Be made from durable and maintainable materials - Have well-designed internal workings for consistent water flow - Be easy to install and use - Have an aesthetically pleasing design that complements the toilet.
