Depois De Waldemar Cordeiro Lamp
Depois de Waldemar Cordeiro Lamp is a sophisticated lighting fixture that represents a remarkable fusion of historical preservation and contemporary design innovation, originally conceived in 1955 and masterfully recreated in 2017-2018. This distinguished illumination piece, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, exemplifies the intersection of artistic heritage and modern technological advancement. The lamp's design features a precise arrangement of white rings that create an extraordinary lighting effect through internal reflections, producing a spectrum of shades from dark gray to pure white, all achieved with a single 4W LED light source. Standing 54 centimeters in height with a diameter of 30 centimeters, the lamp's structure is crafted from solid aluminum using computerized manufacturing techniques and finished with electrostatic painting, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. The recreation project, led by designer Alvaro Wolmer in collaboration with Analivia Cordeiro and Andre Vainer, was inspired by a single historical photograph discovered in a newspaper clipping, making it a significant piece of Brazilian design heritage. The lamp's innovative design allows it to function both as a floor lamp and table lamp, featuring a user-friendly underside press button for operation. Its construction methodology represents a perfect balance between preserving the original aesthetic intent while incorporating contemporary manufacturing processes and materials, resulting in a piece that not only serves its primary function but also stands as an artistic statement that bridges past and present design philosophies.
