Dbrood Bar is an innovative interior design concept that reimagines the traditional bar experience through a distinctive subway-carriage themed environment, specifically designed to appeal to young urban patrons under 25 years of age. Located in downtown Shanghai, this conceptual space breaks conventional entrance design paradigms by incorporating an artistic interpretation of a subway carriage, creating a unique transitional space that symbolically connects and isolates visitors from the outside world. The design philosophy centers on the metaphorical journey of self-discovery, utilizing the subway carriage as a powerful symbol of freedom and youth culture. Created by designers Beck Lyu, Alan Qin, and Xinhao Ye, this interior space demonstrates exceptional creativity in spatial planning and experiential design, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020. The establishment's distinctive approach to hospitality design seamlessly integrates elements of urban transportation infrastructure with social gathering spaces, creating an environment that resonates with its target demographic's desire for unique, Instagram-worthy experiences.
