Dazzling Sales Centre
Dazzling Sales Centre is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in 2019 in Chunghua City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates cultural heritage with contemporary design elements. The 550-square-meter facility draws profound inspiration from the ancient Chinese porcelain traditions of the Song Dynasty, particularly the prestigious Ge Kiln ceramics, translating their distinctive characteristics into modern architectural language. The design's most striking feature is its interpretation of the traditional ice-crack patterns characteristic of high-temperature ceramic firing, realized through an intricate arrangement of irregular wooden boards along walls and ceilings. This artistic implementation creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow, as illumination penetrates through deliberately placed gaps between the wooden elements, producing a mesmerizing dazzling effect visible through the building's windows. The reception area showcases a thoughtful fusion of golden metal sheets and grey glass dividers, paying homage to the golden wire and purple iron foot features of traditional Ge Kiln ceramics. The interior design incorporates suspended metal ceiling lamps at varying heights, inspired by pottery bubbles formed during the ceramic firing process, while the VIP room features an expansive Chinese landscape wall adorned in gold and blue tones. The building's exterior demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness, with its rectangular form and clear glass windows designed to harmonize with the surrounding natural landscape. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, represents a remarkable achievement in blending cultural heritage, innovative design techniques, and environmental sensitivity to create a sophisticated commercial space that serves both functional and aesthetic purposes.
