Datelite Calendar Controlled Lamp
Datelite Calendar Controlled Lamp is an innovative smart lighting solution that seamlessly integrates calendar functionality with ambient illumination to enhance daily living through meaningful light interactions. Designed by Cody Moore, this sophisticated lighting fixture serves as both a functional lamp and an intelligent reminder system for significant personal dates and celebrations. The device, measuring 350mm x 350mm x 100mm, features a distinctive design that maintains a constant subtle glow while dramatically expanding its light halo during programmed special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. This intelligent illumination system incorporates advanced computer control technology, initially developed using Raspberry Pi, and features an intuitive interface that allows users to access date information through a counterclockwise rotation of its raised handle, revealing a hidden display when activated. The lamp's unique approach to combining ambient lighting with personal date recognition earned it a Golden A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, highlighting its innovative contribution to contemporary lighting design. The product exemplifies a thoughtful blend of functional lighting and emotional connection, utilizing light manipulation to create varying intensities that correspond to the significance of specific dates, thereby fostering stronger family bonds and ensuring important moments are not overlooked in busy modern lifestyles.
