Damavand Villa Residential
Damavand Villa Residential is an innovative architectural masterpiece that exemplifies the harmonious integration of contemporary design with natural surroundings, situated near Tehran in the countryside of Damavand, Iran. This remarkable residential structure, designed by Nastaran Fadaee Jonaghani, represents a sophisticated compromise between modern construction and environmental sensitivity, spanning 350 square meters within a 3600-square-meter site. The villa's distinctive design philosophy manifests through its seamless transformation of sharp edges into fluid curves, particularly evident in its sloping roof angles and the gradual extension of roofs and walls onto the ground plane. The architectural composition is thoughtfully divided into three sections, influenced by the natural penetration of existing trees, while the building's form draws inspiration from the iconic Damavand mountain, incorporating its views and metaphorical growth patterns into the design. The structure employs innovative technical solutions, including custom-made curved steel profiles for the roof structure, polymer insulation, and Shotcrete Nano-Cement for facade finishing, addressing the challenging climatic conditions of the region. The project, completed in 2016, garnered recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2018, acknowledging its exceptional integration of contemporary architectural principles with environmental consciousness. The villa's sophisticated multi-layered roof system, comprising polymer insulation, steel network profiles, thermal isolation, and various finishing materials, demonstrates a practical response to the region's harsh winter conditions while maintaining aesthetic excellence through its continuous surfaces and non-linear forms.
