Dahua Park City Exhibition
Dahua Park City Exhibition is an innovative architectural masterpiece situated between mountains and a lake in Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, exemplifying a harmonious blend of contemporary design and natural landscape integration. This remarkable exhibition space, completed in 2020, encompasses a gross floor area of 2,200 square meters within a 5,000-square-meter base area, featuring a distinctive stilted structure that creates a fish-like silhouette floating above the landscape. The design's sophisticated approach to visual experience manifests through carefully orchestrated sight lines, employing a complex system of concealment and revelation throughout the visitor journey. The building's exterior is characterized by an intricate curved façade comprising 2,276 uniquely perforated triangular aluminum panels, each contributing to flowing visual patterns across the structure's surface. Multi-level terraces and expansive French windows maximize views of the surrounding landscape while effectively integrating the architecture with its environment. The project overcame significant technical challenges in the construction of its curved curtain walls through innovative digital modeling and the implementation of a modular construction approach, combining pairs of triangular panels to optimize installation efficiency. The interior circulation creates a compelling spatial sequence that embraces lake views and provides immersive experiences for visitors. This architectural achievement, recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in addressing both current functional requirements and future urban development considerations while maintaining strong aesthetic and environmental sensitivity.
