Cure Plasters
Cure plasters, also known as medicated plasters or medicated adhesive bandages, are a type of wound dressing that contains medication to aid in the healing process. These plasters are typically made of a flexible material, such as fabric or plastic, and are coated with a layer of adhesive on one side. The adhesive side is applied directly to the skin, covering the wound or injured area. The medication contained in cure plasters can vary depending on the intended use. Some plasters contain antiseptics, such as iodine or hydrogen peroxide, to help prevent infection. Others contain analgesics, such as lidocaine or benzocaine, to provide pain relief. Some plasters may also contain anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, to reduce swelling and inflammation. Cure plasters are easy to apply and can be used for a variety of minor injuries, such as cuts, scrapes, and burns. They are especially useful for small wounds that do not require stitches or other medical attention. The medication in the plaster is slowly released over time, providing continuous treatment to the wound. While cure plasters can be effective in treating minor injuries, they are not a substitute for professional medical care. If a wound is deep, bleeding heavily, or shows signs of infection, it is important to seek medical attention immediately.
