Cultural Eleganza Residence

Cultural Eleganza Residence

Cultural Eleganza Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that masterfully blends Japanese and Nordic design aesthetics, situated harmoniously between mountains and a river. Completed in June 2021 in Taipei, Taiwan, this 291-square-meter dwelling exemplifies sustainable living through its thoughtful integration of natural elements and energy-efficient features. The design, created by Kai-Bo Chen, showcases a sophisticated gray-white color palette complemented by wooden and earthy tones, creating a refreshing and clean atmosphere throughout the public spaces. The residence features an open-plan layout that maximizes natural light penetration, with strategically placed balcony windows ensuring optimal airflow. A notable aspect of the design is its emphasis on displaying artwork and cultural elements, with intentionally blank spaces reserved for residents' artistic expression. The living area is distinguished by its minimalist approach, while the study incorporates organic wood elements and a substantial bookcase that creates symmetry with the television wall. The interior demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental consciousness through its implementation of smart design solutions for health and sustainability. Multiple balcony windows and large glass surfaces not only maintain fluid air circulation but also create an engaging interplay between natural light and shadows throughout the day. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully achieves its primary objective of creating a livable, sustainable home that promotes both physical and mental well-being while offering an escape from urban intensity.
