Crystal Residence
Crystal Residence is an exemplary five-story residential project spanning 640 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, distinguished by its sophisticated integration of crystal-inspired design elements and innovative spatial solutions. The architectural masterpiece, designed by Shu Jing Huang, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and harmonious fusion of functionality with aesthetic refinement. The residence's design philosophy centers around the elegant properties of crystal lamps, which serve as both inspiration and foundational elements for spatial proportions throughout the structure. The interior architecture masterfully addresses structural challenges posed by a central staircase through ingenious solutions including hidden doors and custom display cabinets. Notable features include a thoughtfully designed B1 multi-purpose room incorporating a sophisticated bar counter for light refreshments, a vintage gaming table promoting family interaction, and an artfully crafted glass display cabinet showcasing international art collections. The design employs a refined white base palette enhanced by metallic accents and crystal elements, creating a subtle yet luxurious atmosphere. Innovative solutions such as the integrated wall shapes and strategic use of grey mirrors effectively expand visual space while concealing structural elements. The residence's window treatment notably features a distinctive upper and lower curtain installation method, departing from conventional full-floor designs to maintain accessibility while preserving aesthetic appeal. The project, which was completed in December 2021, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design excellence.
