Croatoan Cafeteria Caffeteria And Shop

Croatoan Cafeteria Caffeteria And Shop

Croatoan Cafeteria Caffeteria and shop is an innovative interior design project located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, exemplifying minimalist contemporary design principles within a compact 25-square-meter space. Situated at the intersection of two major boulevards on the ground level of a historic building, this establishment represents a sophisticated fusion of functionality and aesthetic refinement. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, showcases a thoughtfully curated material palette comprising gray terrazzo, natural plywood, and black-painted steel elements. The space is strategically divided into distinct zones: an entrance hall featuring a compact bar area, a customer seating section, and a retail space for merchandising various coffee-related products. The interior's focal point is deliberately centered on the coffee-making equipment, emphasizing the establishment's primary function while maintaining visual clarity through clean lines and uncluttered surfaces. The design successfully overcomes spatial constraints through intelligent space utilization, incorporating elements such as nearly invisible service doors and a harmonious combination of natural concrete flooring with accent cement tiles. The project, completed in October 2017, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its custom-made fixtures and furnishings, while the carefully planned lighting scheme complements the overall design elements, creating an atmosphere that enhances the coffee-drinking experience.
