Cozy Life Shared Space is an innovative architectural renovation project that transforms a traditional four-story Taiwanese streetside building into a multifunctional creative hub, exemplifying the harmonious fusion of historical preservation and contemporary functionality. The 396.6-square-meter space, designed by Fei-Lung Huang, masterfully addresses the challenges of a narrow urban building through thoughtful spatial planning and innovative design solutions. The project's distinctive approach involves the strategic removal of wooden partitions, implementation of glass installations, and the preservation of original architectural elements to create a dynamic environment that serves multiple purposes across its four floors. The ground floor features a carefully curated bar and seating area, separated by an exposed brick wall that adds character while maintaining spatial flow. The second floor houses a photography studio and private rooms, while the third floor accommodates independent work areas, and the top floor hosts a versatile yoga studio that doubles as an exhibition space or lecture venue. The design's success lies in its innovative use of recycled wood, glass, and tiles, which not only adheres to budget constraints but also creates a nostalgic atmosphere that honors the building's 40-year heritage. The integration of natural light through strategically placed openings and a rooftop patio transforms what was once a dark interior into a bright, welcoming space.
