Cozy Life In London Residential House

Cozy Life In London Residential House

Cozy Life In London Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary British living while incorporating elements of Slovak cultural heritage. Created in December 2020 by interior designer Nataliya Kozhokar, this 290-square-meter two-story residence showcases a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and natural materials, featuring a sophisticated nude color palette executed through the use of stone, terrazzo, travertine, and wood. The design's distinctive characteristics include rounded architectural elements inspired by an existing arched glass door leading to the garden, creating a visual dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. The interior scheme preserves and integrates original architectural elements, including a historic fireplace and parquet flooring, while introducing contemporary updates such as sleek black metal-framed windows. A notable aspect of the design is its cultural sensitivity, incorporating modern interpretations of Slovak embroidery patterns in decorative textiles, paying homage to the client's heritage. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental consciousness and user comfort through its extensive use of natural materials and thoughtful space planning. The design philosophy prioritizes creating a serene atmosphere where residents can engage in contemplative activities, whether reading by the fireplace or enjoying breakfast while overlooking the garden through panoramic windows, embodying the essence of sophisticated urban living in London while maintaining a strong connection to nature and cultural identity.
