Cosmos Datong Brand Design is an innovative brand identity and packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. This comprehensive design solution, created under the direction of YeZhang and a talented team of designers, masterfully integrates the rich historical heritage of Datong, an ancient Chinese city, through a sophisticated visual language that incorporates four distinct thematic illustration sets depicting different historical periods. The design's distinctive approach combines local folk-style illustrations with oriental aesthetics and new Chinese style elements, enhanced by the traditional color palette derived from Shanxi shadow art. The project encompasses a meticulously crafted high-end food packaging system, featuring environmentally conscious materials and advanced production techniques including UV coating, hot stamping, and precision die-cutting. The packaging architecture consists of an outer box measuring 300x300x70mm housing three inner compartments, complemented by promotional materials that extend the brand narrative. This Silver A' Design Award-winning work in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category demonstrates exceptional achievement in bridging cultural heritage with contemporary consumer expectations, effectively elevating the product's perceived value while serving as a cultural ambassador for Datong's rich history.
