Corner Of Tranquility Residential Apartment
Corner of Tranquility Residential Apartment is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies modern Yuppie aesthetics through its sophisticated use of materials and spatial arrangement. Located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, this 73-square-meter apartment showcases an innovative approach to contemporary living spaces through its masterful integration of grey glass, aluminum, and iron elements. The design, completed in March 2018 under the direction of Yi-Yun Chang, transforms the conventional apartment layout into a harmonious living environment that prioritizes both functionality and emotional resonance. The project's distinctive features include an ingeniously relocated spatial axis, incorporating a strategically positioned storage room and a reimagined master bedroom configuration. A notable design element is the custom-designed sliding door with an oil painting in the master bedroom, which serves dual purposes as both a decorative element and a practical solution for natural light control. The interior's sophisticated material palette emphasizes transparency and visual continuity, particularly evident in the study area where glass partitions eliminate visual barriers while maintaining spatial definition. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material application, and innovative design solutions. The project's success lies in its ability to create a cozy, harmonious atmosphere while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic, effectively balancing practical storage solutions with sophisticated design elements that promote natural light integration and spatial fluidity.
