Convey Clock

Convey Clock is an innovative table clock design that challenges traditional timekeeping conventions through its distinctive anti-clockwise movement mechanism and minimalist aesthetic approach. Created by Iranian designer Pouya Mirhosseini, this contemporary timepiece features a light and narrow form characterized by clean lines and a transparent Plexiglas pendulum. The clock's unique design philosophy manifests in its quarter-circle face and fixed needle display system, where time is indicated through the movement of the pendulum rather than conventional rotating hands. The device incorporates modern technological features, including smartphone connectivity for battery monitoring and time adjustment, along with USB Type-C charging capability. Constructed from iron rod, Plexiglas, and ABS materials, the clock measures 121mm in width, 63mm in depth, and 250mm in height. Its pendulum completes a special 3-second turning motion every 12 hours to reset to the 1 o'clock position, creating a mesmerizing visual experience. The design, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a successful fusion of traditional timepiece functionality with contemporary aesthetics and smart technology integration. This innovative approach to chronometric display challenges established conventions while maintaining practical utility, effectively reimagining the role of analog timepieces in modern living spaces.
