Commercial Space Office

Commercial Space Office

Commercial Space Office is an innovative architectural renovation project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern workspace design with environmental consciousness, completed in Taipei in 2019. This transformative design approach successfully regenerated an old residence into a contemporary office space, distinguished by its innovative wall-less garden concept and sophisticated integration of natural elements. The project's cornerstone features include strategic window placements for optimal natural lighting, an elaborate plantation wall system, and thoughtful preservation of original architectural elements such as brick surfaces for microclimate control. The design demonstrates exceptional consideration for Taiwan's humid basin climate through intelligent ventilation solutions and temperature control mechanisms. A particularly noteworthy aspect is the bold decision to remove traditional barriers, creating an open dialogue between public and private spaces while maintaining security through careful design considerations. The project incorporates sustainable elements including rainwater recycling systems and finished concrete landscaping, seamlessly blending with white stone materials to create an artistic domain. The interior space masterfully balances tradition and modernity, featuring preserved brick walls alongside contemporary design elements, creating a unique atmospheric quality that earned it the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This groundbreaking approach not only transformed the immediate office environment but also positively impacted the surrounding urban landscape, effectively addressing common urban challenges such as random scooter parking while creating an inviting pedestrian-friendly space that has been embraced by the local community.
