Coloured Paperboard

Coloured Paperboard

Coloured paperboard refers to a type of paperboard that has been dyed or pigmented to give it a specific hue or shade. Paperboard is a thick, sturdy type of paper that is commonly used for packaging, book covers, and other applications where durability is important. Coloured paperboard is often used for decorative purposes, as it can add a pop of color to a product or make it stand out on a store shelf. The process of creating coloured paperboard typically involves adding pigments or dyes to the paper pulp before it is formed into sheets. The pigments or dyes are evenly distributed throughout the paperboard, giving it a consistent color throughout. Coloured paperboard can be made in a wide range of hues, from pastel shades to bright, bold colors. One of the advantages of coloured paperboard is that it can be printed on using a variety of printing techniques, including offset printing, flexography, and digital printing. This makes it a popular choice for packaging, as it allows companies to create eye-catching designs that stand out on store shelves. Coloured paperboard is also often used for arts and crafts projects, as it can be easily cut, folded, and glued. In addition to its decorative uses, coloured paperboard is also valued for its durability. It is resistant to tearing, bending, and moisture, making it a good choice for products that need to withstand rough handling or adverse environmental conditions.
