Cohesion Residential House
Cohesion Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of functionality, aesthetics, and family-centered living spaces. The design, created by Ching Jiun Yu, employs a sophisticated neo-classical design lexicon characterized by deep-colored wood pattern flooring and carefully curated soft lighting to establish an elegant, tranquil atmosphere. A distinctive feature of this interior space is its innovative L-shaped glass partition, which creates a multi-functional study area that seamlessly connects the living and dining rooms, fostering enhanced family interaction while maintaining visual continuity throughout the space. The design prioritizes both practical and aesthetic considerations, incorporating non-toxic building materials for a healthy living environment, particularly considering the presence of children. The spatial arrangement demonstrates remarkable attention to storage solutions, with integrated storage features thoughtfully incorporated into the TV wall, dining room, and study areas. The design's sophisticated use of mirrors strategically placed at the dining area corner creates an illusion of expanded space, while structured lighting and artistic wall decorations add cultural depth to the environment. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional space optimization through the removal of traditional walls and their replacement with transparent glass partitions, effectively addressing lighting challenges while maintaining privacy through the integration of electric curtains. The children's room design demonstrates particular thoughtfulness, featuring a practical layout that connects the bed end directly to the wardrobe, with a double-sized bed accommodating parent-child bonding during early developmental stages.
